Silence

The period of time when there is no interaction between any of the parties involved in the interpretation. This could be due to several reasons but the one which has most impact on remote interpretation is the silence caused by a trauma that impedes the caller from responding to a question. The interpreter must receive specific instructions on how to act when there is a silence caused by trauma.
